Bears will eat Ducks for brunch this year!
Thank god Shane Vereen is back! Do we have any up and coming recruits or players? I really haven't followed their offseason.

49ers never draft Cal players...not sure if they realize we play like 30 minutes from Candlestick.

Keenan Allen was our big fish, plays both ways but will playing WR for us there's a chance he'll see the field a lot this season, as a matter of fact I think he's gonna be the starter on the opposite side of Marvin Jones, which leaves Ross in the slot where he's more effective IMO

Vereen's getting all the ink but Deboskie behind him is no dropoff in talent and Isofele has gotten huge praises from the coaching staff. I hear Sofele is the next Best/Vereen type player and it wouldn't shock me if he took PT away from Deboskie (this would say more about Sofele's skills than Deboskie disappointing, BELIEVE ME)

On the D-line I think Aaron Tipoti and Kendrick Payne could surprise us, we all know Cameron Jordan is a beast at DE.

Our biggest concern is Riley for sure and 1A IMO the offensive line. 1B our secondary, Hagan looked REAL good 2 years ago but was a disappointment last year and he's supposed to be our LCB this season

I hear we don't have clear cut starters at both safeties spots which is a bit unnerving. I could had sworn Cattouse was gonna be an undisputed starter this season but it doesn't seem that way.

Overall I think we'll over-achieve because expectations are so low this season. 8-4, don't wait standing up for roses.
Kevin Hart is going to be a beast this year too.

Do any of the young quarterbacks on the roster look promising? Riley's just painful to watch.
I am so excited! I can't wait to watch. Shane is the man!

GO CAL!

I have to be honest, not excited about any of them this year. I was hoping either Sweeney or Mansion would be able to unseat Riley this spring but that wasn't the case. Tedford keeps trying to sell Riley when he talks to the media, I ain't buying it.

I'm intrigued however about the transfer from Buffalo, Zach Maynard. I think he's RS eligible so he should be with us for a couple of years. Went 5-7 last year here are his numbers:

218/379 (57.5%) , 2694yds, 18TD, 15INT, 124.98 rating.

He's a bit mobile to but not anywhere near Pryor or Masoli status.

I'm curious to see who our QB will be next season

Me too. I really thought Brock would beat out Riley. Riley plays good when it doesn't matter. In the big spots, he makes horrible decisions. I hope he improves at that. Otherwise he would be good. He won't play in the NFL, that is for sure. I think Tedford thinks he can get him there. He has been selling him hard.
