***Official 2009-2010 Houston Rockets Thread*** (29-28)

I usually ignore preseason, but so far pretty encouraging. Ariza's stat line was sick last night in limited minutes, in fact pretty much everyone's was. I worry about the C position, they don't seriously think 6'7 Chuck Hayes, strong as he is, can man it for any more than short spurts I hope. I'm excited to finally see us run the offense RA has been trying to run now that he has the type of players to do so.
Another odd thing, in years past when we were loaded with All-Star talent the general feel was that Houston would likely screw it up. Now expectations are low, yet everyone seems to have a good feeling about the team because of effort and character on the squad. The "doom and gloom" Rox fans have taken a hiatus.

Alright, Opening day roster is set.

The Main 12 IMO:

Ariza, Battier, Scola, Brooks and Hayes with Andersen, Budinger, Taylor, Landry, Lowry, Cook and Mensa-Bonsu with the 3 IL players, Yao, TMac and Dorsey.

Ill post the schedule later tonight after classes.

I feel good about this season because their absolutely no pressure on the Rox this year, if we don't win it was expected. If we do win its all good.

agreed Hollywood, if we win we are golden, if lose alot, no biggie, we werent expected to do much, plus we would get a lottery pick to rebuild the team for the future.

i dont think so, mainly cause our 2009 1st went to SAC for Artest trade.

They dont look so bad, right now a 8 point game, against a tough Portland team.

Im impressed, even with a Loss, its gotta be a good feeling to know they can hang with a good team.

This is going to be one really really tough season!!

I hope TMac makes a full recovery I guess he is ahead of schedule.

It will be great for AB, Lowry, Chase, Landry and the other youngins on the team

realistically we should expecty 35-40 wins topps IMO

Just not enough size, we got killed on the boards. Against any team with some size this will happen all year. But yeah, Scola's gotta take more shots.

Well, even with no stars, no transportation to the game, and no size....we can still beat crappy Golden State. Nice game for Ariza with 25 and Budinger is looking a 2nd round steal, much as I expected him to be a bum.
