D Souray on Waivers: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=533665
What are the chances you'd say the Sharks try to pick up the damaged goods?

Good to hear. I don't think he'd do any better than anything we already have on the roster.

Souray would provide the big point shot, but don't expect him to play any semblance of defense. Two more years at $5.4M per? Kind of like an overpriced Blake contract which you just got rid of. I'm sure DW could allocate those dollars more effectively elsewhere.

if we claim in on waivers
the oilers would pay half (i think only for the 1st year)
but he isnt worth it anymore imo

Agreed. I'm just concerned we might waste money on him, and I really hope we don't. Again, there are really only a few players I'd be comfortable with at this point. Possibly Corvo, Mitchell, or Bergeron.

sharks should have made offers to:
Ian White
Marc Staal
both the flames and rangers are in cap trouble
both of those players are young
hope dougie pulls a trade and gets on of those too
