Souray would provide the big point shot, but don't expect him to play any semblance of defense. Two more years at $5.4M per? Kind of like an overpriced Blake contract which you just got rid of. I'm sure DW could allocate those dollars more effectively elsewhere.

the oilers would pay half (i think only for the 1st year)

Agreed. I'm just concerned we might waste money on him, and I really hope we don't. Again, there are really only a few players I'd be comfortable with at this point. Possibly Corvo, Mitchell, or Bergeron.

not sure if its true but i heard a rumor of a blockbuster proposal. heatley to boston, savard to toronto and kaberle to us

why would san jose dothat they would get the worst part of that trade.Kaberle is old and only has 1-2 years left maybe at the most.You could get alot more for heatly.
