2009 MLB All Star Game/Home Run Derby Thread

Is there a box score for the futures game anywhere? I wanna see what Brett Wallace and Daryl Jones did.
Wainwright on ESPN right now

And Yovani Gallardo.

The reason that Duke is over Wainwright and Gallardo is that both pitched today and won't be available for the game. Carpenter? I don't know.

but I think Duke is better than you're giving him credit for.

Duke is good, but doesn't deserve to be an All-Star. He's 8-8. Wainwright and Gallardo are pitching today..but for the All-Star game it won't matter, neither would have pitched but an inning in the All-Star Game.

Why do win and loses matter? Pitchers don't have much power over run support. And maybe their teams didn't want to risk injuries to key pitchers with playoff berths at stake.

Why do wins and losses matter? Well, because the goal of baseball is to win the game. And Duke has just as many losses as he does wins. A middle of the pack, .500 pitcher is not an ALL STAR. And Wainwright would not get hurt pitching one inning. Todd Wellemeyer just started for the Cardinals the other day and pitching in relief today for St. Louis.

Duke: 8-8 3.29 ERA 60K

Wainwright: 9-5 3.09 ERA 110K

Carpenter: 7-3 2.47 ERA 64K (and was hurt most of the season)
How did Yadier Molina make the all star game? lol He shouldn't even be in the game let alone starting. People like him and Navarro last season... I don't know how this s**t happens. The All Star game is a big joke anyways... In every sport.

Molina and Navarro both made it for their defense.

I'm watching an All Star game James... not a baseball mechanics instructional video.

And hes an All Star for his defensive play.

Defense is part of the game of baseball.

Yeah, but its not really a game that means anything though...

Its not like Molina is gonna give 100% effort out there, just coast like the rest of the individuals.

Yadier Molina is a good defensive catcher, but he's still massively overrated.

Whoever wins gets home field advantage in the WS.

By FAR the best defensive catcher in MLB.

So let the Red Sox/ Yankees play the Dodgers/ Phillies in the All Star game then.
