Can't believe the US beat Spain. I mean, is there a better way to silence all the haters?

I could care less about soccor, but I love when Americans can beat countries at the one thing they love and most of us here could care less.

thats why its so fun to watch US in the world cup. I just want to see them piss off the world by winning it. I mean could you imagine the European's if the US won? They wouldn't know what to do! It would be mass suicide all over Europe

i wouldn't say that, I mean the US has been n the Top 20 for a while now so wouldn't be that surprising.
If anything, Europe would take credit for training our players in the tough European circuit like the douches they can be (though majority play in MLS). Now countries like Mexico and Brazil on the other hand....

it's gonna be between Spain, Brazil, and the UK. The US don't stand a chance but I will be rooting for them anyways. It's kinda like rooting for the Niners to win the SB lately, you feel me?

No way UK wins this year! But yea, I know the US won't win, especially with teams like Brazil, Germany, and Spain putting up such strong contenders this year. I just hope for a quarterfinal appearance (though a semifinal would be AMAZING!!!!).
Brazil looks the strongest, but still hoping for a US miracle (it's happened once before in 1980 in Lake Placid, maybe 2010 in johannesburg could suffice)
Possible names for the event could include:
- "District 9 Lockdown"
- "Johannesburg Express"
- "The Cape Town Takedown"
- "The Sands of Miracles"
- "The West Boer War".... um, maybe not this one
- "The Morgan Freeman" (Oscar Gold!!!)

My question I wanted to ask is...where is Freddy Adu? Last year I saw him playing on our team, but now he's not even on the roster.
somewhere in Europe struggling to become the Gringo Pele
and don't be shocked if this thread inspires the Official 2010 World Cup Mexican National Team
Surprised you haven't started a Venezuelan National Soccer Team thread.

Minus Oneywu, Davies, Dempsey, Ricardo Clark, & Feilhaber. Nearly got a draw in Netherlands. The team looked unorganized in the first half, lack of communication.
Got 3 more friendlies to figure it out.
