With the standings the way they are right now,

The Spurs would probably have this playoffs schedule: Houston, Denver, LA

Lakers would have: Suns, Hornets, SA

I don't think it will pan out that way as the Lakers usually get lucky with scheduling but if it stays like this, Lakers will have a tough one. Suns are not a good team but they do have a lot of playoff experience and who knows what Shaq will do in the playoffs. Maybe LA doesn't even make it to the Conf finals.

Really?

Joe is really giving the Lakers too much credit here.

Who knows if they even make the playoffs?

Show him a basketball, and he'll show you how to score.

Show him a gun, and he'll show you how to surrender.

Show him Steve Nash, and he'll laugh.

At what? Two MVP trophies?

No, with an NBA Finals MVP trophy.

This is a win win for us anyways... Spurs lose we will clinch the conference in like 2 weeks but if the Cavs lose we will have even more of a cushion in best record in the league.

Id rather the Cavs lose to ensure homecourt throughout and also help Kobe in the MVP race.
