Tippet is a good enough coach to get Turco re-focused and clean up the defensive mistakes. It'll take time since this is one of the youngest rosters on the Stars in years.

Even though we are losing, I'm pretty excited from what i've seen. Rookies Neal and Brunnstrom look pretty good, Modano and Richards are playing very well. This is a very very different Stars team then I'm use to seeing, a lot more speed and offensive ability.

And remember, we are playing without 2 of our top 5 or 6 players, Lehtinen and Zubov.

Did anyone watch the Flyers vs Thrashes on Versus?

Thrashers got ROCKED! 7-0

Forbes listing of highest franchise values in the NHL:
1. Toronto (448 million)
2. NY Rangers (411 million)
3. Montreal (334 million)
4. Detroit (303 million)
5. Philadelphia (275 million)
6. Dallas (273 million)
19. San Jose (179 million)

I was pretty surprised Dallas was way up there, and San Jose is way down there.

Also of interest "The 2007-08 season was the National Hockey League's most successful since Forbes began tracking team values 10 years ago."

I think sj is ranked low because of the Market. I mean, the sharks may be the most successful bay area franchise in recent years, but people still dont really know about it. NFL>NBA>MLB>NHL is the rank for bay sports I think.
Anybody see the Rangers/Leafs game on Sat? Jesus christ, Rangers blew that 1 in the last 5min
