Why did we beat the Vikings?

Seeing as they are now 7-2, how the hell did we beat them in Week 1? Thoughts?
Week 1 hype. Black uni's. Whole offseason to gameplan. No film on us.

First week jitters. Last year the Titans sh-t kicked the Chiefs in week 1. They ended up going 2-14 and the Chiefs went 9-7.
week 1 is never a good guide on a team

Anything can happen
On any given week any one team can beat any other team.

They were still in holiday mood.

This is the right answer.
It was a sloppy game by both teams esp in the first half. They didn't expect us to zone run block and struggled setting the edge with their d-ends. We regularly put 8 in the box and sold out on the run daring Bridgewater to beat us and nearly did if it werent for a non pass interference call. Peterson never plays in the preseason and looked rusty or out of sync with his oline on when where the holes open. To the Vikings the game started at 9pm central. On the road, Monday night football

This! Week 1 games are always hype games. Every team is unknown at that point.

this. and that is about it, valid for week one in particular.
Tempo, watch that game again, we played fast. Kap plays well when he is playing fast.

Oh, and surprise, we shocked them by playing fast and attacking the edges on defense, the opposite of a Jim Harbaugh team. On defense we blitzed the hell out of a young QB, shook him early, and kept him rattled.
Same way we beat ATL, stuffed the s**t out of their run game.

look what took place in green bay and what almost took place in new york. if we play well, if the coaches coach well, there is no reason not to have hope for sunday in my opinion
