What to do with Jarryd Hayne?

Davis is a clone of Hyde, well that's what the coaches think and want. And paid for with the round pick they got him. There thinking was In this way he can slot into team easier of Hyde injured.

So now Hyde is injured Davis will get the reps at RB, & good luck to him he has earn this shot through great stats at college.

Bush will back up to rest Davis and maybe take some screen passes if OC feeling adventurous.

If Hayne suites up, he is doing PR only, then may step up to RB if bush gets injured.

The issues Aussie have is that Hayne ability shown in pre season = nothing so Davis college seasons should also = nothing now that it's regular season and 1st stringers.

We have learnt also the NFL is all about the stats. So...

Davis is like 1.3 yards per carry ranks 95th in NFL for players rush 15 plus times.

Hayne is 3.1 yards per carry from just 8 rushes. Less rushes more than double the yards,

Both have missed blocks, both have missed blitz, both have looked lost on plays.

Some vets say Davis is more experienced, well it's college level exp. so technically that do t mean s**t against NFL first stringers.

Aussies want to talk about big game exp, World stage exp. proven pro level elite exp. so technically that don't mean s**t cause this is the NFL.

The point is on stats alone during NFL reg season at RB Hayne should get first shot. But we all now know he won't.

Lucky if they let him suits up

Mate thats a great writeup showing both side of stats and why there are so many diverging views, they can be taken anyway the reader wants to.

Im not sure what we do with Hayne. I am sure he needs more action though.

His best quality is running in open space, not sure how using him as a running back helps with this. Its going to take him 2 or 3 years to get anywhere near the best in the league.

Maybe he could be used like the Patriots use Danny Amendola, switching between kick or punt returns and the odd play as a WR.

The other thing with Hayne is he is a great tackler, surely this can be used a bit more.

Yeah very nice write up. Thanks for making the effort. I wonder how much age factors into it too. Theoretically Davis should have a better understanding of the general open playbook. I'd like to see Hayne get more time on the pitch by merit. Hopefully it all clicks for him soon and he goes up a gear.

If they do slot Hayne into Hyde's role - I hope they don't use plays that ram him through the middle and then everyone will complain about he didn't make any impact.
He should be used for screen plays, give him some space and let him make players miss or take a solid stiffy.
Kyle Williams , ex 49er fumbled two returns in super bowl and lost the game all by himself, and yet team talked about having his back. x--OoO--x your comments are off base and you are trying to act as if you know what you are talking about.. Me thinks, that just isn't so, and pray tell, what are you a veteran of, being critical isn't enough. I believe your comments are designed to do two things, 1 irritate as many people as you can, 2 prove to readers on this forum that you don't know how to do anything other than criticize people with your huge (fake ) intellect. Hayne, being the competitor that he is, felt a huge pressure to perform at the highest level, and when the coach makes it obvious that you aren't getting many chances, it can cause even great athletes to tense up a bit. Next game they didn't even put him on the 46 man roster active list. So, I am hereby challenging you to say something that sounds like you are smart, That would be a I can tell you one thing for sure, If you had to use your writing skills , I am being generous, to qualify you to make another not so bright comment you would be banished by now. You aren't really contributing much in the way of doing anything but trying to knock people and saying negative things non stop. Why don't you try describing by way of observations why you think Jarryd Hayne is not the great prospect, I and other people are suggesting he is. I have cited reasons, you have not3k3
Just making negative comments isn't good enough pal, back it up using some kind of descriptive narrative that will convince us that you do know something and that your opinion is worth something . Personally, I don't think your opinions , or observations are worth anything at all, mainly because you string together a few words that frankly prove, absolutely, that you don't know how to do anything beyond count to 3. Yea, you are an irritant for sure, and the more I think about what you've written it is becoming apparent that your main goal here is to just piss off as many people as you can, and I can tell you for sure,it's working. We should do a poll to find out if other members think you are as obnoxious as I do. you keep trying to prove that 3 may be close to the magic number. Jerry Rice dropped numerous passes his first season and If per chance you were around to see those muffed passes you probably would have been all over his untalented ass as well.
Why don't you , rebuke the positive comments I have made in support of Hayne, I know a lot of people thought they were analytical to some extent and liked them. My wife is an Aussie who doesn't like football or any sports. The comments I made regarding Haynes skills are something you should easily be able to crush with your skill set of just being negative, negative, it seems like it's the only thing you do well, but then you don't actually do it very well you are just persistent.

Nothing like a solid stiffy

Your asking the coaches to do different to what they showed in all previous games, simply put. It ain't gunna happen.

They will stick with conservative, put in Davis, stick, the to regime they been practicing on all year long... Hoping it will turn around.

But that ain't gunna happen either. Turnaround that is.

Has anyone else been watching the other teams? 49ers are so far behind the eight ball it's simply not funny anymore.

Rams gunna be like " you can pull your pants up now 49ers" the games all over.

The crowds gunna be like " we want 50"

I really don't see how the OC can keep, his job?

We are last in points per game and last in points in total for season FFS.

But let's keep it conservative.... Keep doing what we been practicing ....It's gunna turn around

Why not try and get him on some screen passes like this where he can get in space, make guys miss and gain yards.

The #49ers have promoted RB Kendall Gaskins to the active roster, waive RB Jarryd Hayne.
