Borland, and Lynch Because both ILB and OLB Spots are up for grabs and i want 1 of them or both of them to seize the oppurtunity.

i wonder when he'll be physically full-go

All reports suggest right now at training camp, we'll see
for me it's 2 guys, Tank and Ward

why? because we need another pass rusher if/when Aldon is suspended, Justin Smith is another year older & we need Tank to have a good enough year to give us confidence we can move fwd w/o JS in a cpl years.

Ward because we simply need an upgrade at nickle CB badly & it's on him

I considered Lattimore, Hyde, M.Martin but I think either way we'll be good at RB & C. We have options at those positions and the need is greater at NCB/DL than it is at RB or C.
Ward and Martin - because they could fill the biggest needs on the team this year.

Okoye- he has the physical gifts of a Randy White or Vince Wilfork, *if* he ever develops to his fullest potential. Ellington is another, I hope he can make our offense more explosive. The two Martins and carlos hyde. Lattimore. Man I haven't been this excited about TC in a very long time.
If we can count redshirt guys then it tank for me also. I loved him at FSU and I feel like he is gonna be huge for us. If we are specifically talking about first year guys then it's ward for me. I'm interested to see how he is gonna be used, because in general the secondary is my only BIG concern, but I think it has the potential to be really good.

oh, i wanna see lots of 3rd down and return opportunities at the very least.

This. The one thing that has killed us has been ST in coverage units in huge games and having next to nothing on our end. So I'd like to see any of these guys including the rookies absolutely become a dynamic returner for us. Ideally, it would be a guy like Ellington who can also add to our offense and knock James off this team.

So far...
PR/KOR: LaMichael James; Perrish Cox, Darryl Morris, Devon Wiley, Bruce Ellington, L.J. McCray & Kenneth Acker (even Carlos Hyde).

I think this defense desperately needed a quality NCB.

Besides.. I was a huge fan of Jimmie Ward as a prospect, and while it's not that big a hit to the ego, no one likes to see "their guy" sucking arse.

Had LMJ had enough return opportunities last year to qualify for the ranking, he would have ranked 4th in the NFL in both punt and kick return avg. I think him fumbling a cpl times muddled peoples opinion of him, when he fielded the ball cleanly, he did well (which he continuously got better at & per reports is looking even better at doing so this off season). I know we're stacked at RB and it's hard to imagine Gore, Hyde, Hunter, Lattimore AND LMJ all making the team but I think unless Ellington looks absolutely great at it that's what is and should happen. LMJ will essentially be looked at as a ST only type player similar to guys like Ventrone/Osgood only he's a return specialist.

James(LJ) McCray

I always root for the small school UDFA.

I know this is easy but have to go with Lattimore. Let's see him getting hit in pads and how everything responds (even if they go a little easier than in a real game). Also, Ellington in his first live TC practices should be nice.

yeah..more training camp threads !
Ward or Ellington. Ellington we need to step up desperately, and ward can be a ball hawk star.
