I live right outside out of Seattle and while I'd love to go, after the treatment my family and I received at the Dec. 23rd game in 2011 I'll never go to another game there again. The fans there are horrible!!! A lot of them were pretty nice, they saw me in my Niners gear and talked some friendly trash, a few even sat and talked with me for 15-20 minutes or so but that was at touchdown city, once we got to our seats it was completely different. My wife's a Hawks fan so her and the kids were in their Hawks gear and I had my 4 year old son on my shoulders who was also wearing Hawks gear and had his painted. There were fans calling my son a fa**ot and told him to go back to Santa Clara with the rest of gays and losers, a few spilled beer on my daughters and laughed about it, had more than a few tell me how horrible a father I was for being a Niners fan and had more than a few try to fight me after Jackson fumbled to end the game, security had to escort us out because some Hawk fans punched a Niners fan in face at the end of our row. I've been to quite a few games there and not always wearing Niners gear, and I've noticed that that's a lot of opposing teams fans get treated, some of the fans are fine but a lot are just plain rude and completely ruin the experience of going to a live game, even my wife and kids won't go anymore and quite a few of our neighbors won't go either.

You're not a horrible father for being a Niners fan, you're a horrible father for letting your kids be Seahawks' fans'. In all seriousness though, I went up there a few years ago for the Monday night game where we got shutout and the fans were absolutely terrible. It seemed like every one with face paint on wanted to start a fight, and most tended to be ignorant a*****es. With that said, I can't wait to go back and talk some s**t to those idiots when the Niners beat the crap out of Seattle!

The fans are terrible lol, especially when you add alcohol to the equation!! You can't talk sense to most of them, they bring up the 42-13 beating they put on us last season and tell us to stop living in the past when we bring up the 3-1 record since Harbaugh took over and the 5 Super Bowl titles....I thought that something that happened last season was in the past? and don't get me started on the Green Bay game lol, all I heard on the radio all week was how the Hawks deserved the call because NFL and the refs screwed them in the Super Bowl against the Steelers. I try not to hate any team as I'm a fan of the game as well as a Niners fan but Hawks fans make it hard sometimes lol, if you go by the local chatter they've already won the Super Bowl and the rest of the league shouldn't even show up!!

ALL OF THIS DO NOY GO THEY ARE TERRIBLE. Been there three times lucky to be alive after th sharpie incident

i called about ticket prices today. we usually have a group of like 10 people drive over from idaho. Every ticket i was offered today had to be accompanied by a preseason ticket purchase. not worth it to me. i was told to wait until august to purchase my tickets if i dont want to bundle a preseason game. you know how f**king hard it will be to find 10 seats right next to eachother by then? f**king dumb

I called for group seats so we could take our clients to the game. Could only get 20 tickets to the Niner game by committing to buy a matching set of tickets to another game. Total scam to sell out their other home games, but what was I supposed to do? s**t happens and then you die. Thank God my company is picking up the tab.
You should see how they act up there. I was sitting with my friends waiting for the game to start and this guy in front of me turns around to start talking mess. I am fine with that, talk about my team all you want no big deal. Then to me he lowers his voice to start talking about some of my friends who aren't in earshot of him. I didn't wan't to really have all my buddies kill this guy so I say "if you are such a tough guy why don't you say that to his face? (making fun of one of my buddies longer hair). Of course he didn't...then he gets back on the Niners and points to all the NFC west division championship banners talking smack. So I say "those are really nice but I have been looking for the Superbowl banners, where do you guys hang those?". Didn't have too much to say after that...

Navy, that is good advice..born and raised up in Seattle but diehard Niner since '81. I hope people can afford to take your advice. But the real problem stems from who these 12th man fans are. 75% of them are NOT from Seattle. Period. Real, long-standing fans like yourself are always very humble (d/t your heartbreaking history as fans) and great people. They aren't grounded in a deep tradition of success and culture of class and respect. These are pissed off bandwagon fans, many from the east coast.

My advice to Niner fans is simply this: if ANY of them give you crap, simply ask them where they were born. It typically shuts them up quickly. Or ask them any question as to their "history" like who is Jim Zorn? Kenny Easley? Brian Bosworth (joking)? BTW: If they DO know any of these players, hang with them. They'll be good, humble fans who just want to have a good time and you can get back to being a classy fan again and enjoy the game/experience!

You realize Seattle is a big city in a very big State right? I live 234 miles east of seattle in eastern Washington, have never lived there or wanted to... i've been a diehard from day 1... i don't think the fact that i don't reside in Seattle or King County makes me any less of a knowledgable die hard fan than somebody living in the City... I would suspect that many franchises has their largest portion of fans not living in the City it was named after including SF...

He's referring to the sheer number of transplants from out of state that have flooded Western Washington in the past 20-30 years that suddenly jumped on the bandwagon when Holmgren came to town.

I was. I even went to college in Eastern Washington. Western Washington is only about 1/3rd geographically, the size of the entire State...Eastern WA takes up 2/3rd and it's mostly farms and desert (they have season's there). I even grew up at Crescent Bar every summer.

We're certainly not talking about you or a few other good, humble Hawk fans who have come on here to talk football. We're talking about the 3/4 of the NEW 12th Man fans...ones that have moved there from all over the country to reside in Western WA over the past 10 years (esp.) d/t the Microsoft (tech-boom), Boeing and even corporate Starbucks/BOA. Seattle has the 2nd worst traffic in the country d/t this very reason.

My last game up there with my Seattle family was the Norv Turner/Alex Smith route up there. My own family doesn't go anymore b/c it's "not their type of crowd." They all just watch from home. My brother still goes but he's an obnoxious, loud-mouth drunk so he fits right in. LOL
Im gonna try to be there.
