Me thinks many in Niner Talk have to find a whipping boy since there is so little to talk about until free agency begins.
I'm just waiting for the cut Brian Jennings thread.

I think he's a great player but I also think he has a lil hint of Randy moss at times cause he's not always gaming hard or trying to get across tha field to make a play ..

I'd take a banged up Aldon Smith at OLB than a healthy RJF at any position. 3-4 or 4-3.
Well, it didn't work out that way. I think having a true down lineman in a 4-3 would have been more impactful than a gimpy smith shying from contact. I like him as a speed rusher. Does anyone have a an mpg of highlight hits?

Give us a break! Aldon Smith is super-talented! Before he arrived, has any player ever had 14 1/2 and 19 sacks (or anywhere close), when playing next to Justin Smith? Justin with the 49ers or the Bengals. Look it up and I bet nobody is even close to Aldon's sack numbers.
By the way, the NFL Network just announced Aldon had shoulder surgery 4 weeks ago to repair a torn labrum. That explains why he had no sacks during the last 6 games.

Correction: Aldon had 14 and 19.5 sacks in his first two years. He has been awesome!

It serves a purpose. To see who can't tell the difference in poor play and an injured player.

Aldon Smith had surgery for a torn labrum. I thought he was injured for most of the second half of the season. Guys a warrior.

He has more sacks in his first two seasons than any player in the history of the NFL. No, SanDiego. He's not overrated.
