Also.....collateral damage is a suck my dck to pete carroll about the player who left him (if he becomes a good player)

Yes! Great payback for Doug Baldwin, but taller and faster. If things work out, Baldwin is a free agent next season and they can't pay him so he's gone. Meanwhile, Lockette is a deep threat that will be a burr in Carroll's butt for years.

Great! Let's sign Baldwin next year then ROFL

No, Baldwin is just like Richard Sherman - somehow bitter and angry about Harbaugh. He thinks Harbaugh didn't sell him enough to the NFL coming out of Stanford. Screw him. Let him go cut a deal with the Raiders when the Seahawks are done with him.

"I'm sure there's things I can specifically name, but there's just something about him that I'm really fired up about," Harbaugh said. "He's got something else to him, too, besides just the analytical size, strength, speed. There's something special there. I just feel it."

Ricardo Lockette combines 4.37 40 speed with a 6-foot-2, 215-pound frame.

Good to hear!

I like it. If he can put all the nuances of being a receiver down, with his size, speed and strength, he could really ad an explosive element to this offense.

I don't think he's ever pumped CK up that much! Wow!
It occurs to me that Harbaugh must have been more or less quoting CK about Lockette, who has been working out with CK in Atlanta. You know Harbaugh has be in contact with CK, and they undoubtedly discuss the WRs who are in Atlanta with CK working out.

So if CK is praising Lockette to Harbaugh, and that adds to what Harbaugh already knew about him, . . .then we get Harbaugh's high praise for Lockette this week, and it explains the non-specific nature of the praise Harbaugh offered.

I think that means Lockette and CK have developed great chemistry, and that should help Lockette when OTAs and TC roll around.

i am sure he is a nice wide out but i predict he will get beat out of opening day by our new under the radar free agent wide out special teams person we signed from miami. especially with a gap at backup punt returns behind kyle williams, marlon will beat out richard but it will be a fun thing to watch.. i will just say if both of those guys beat out jenkins well,, ,,,,

Makes sense Harbs is getting some of this from CK. All the better I say, we've seen what happens when CK and a WR (crabs) get on the same page.

Thats just low... lol
If this guy can get with Harbaugh's system, his measurables are much greater than an other receiver we have on the team. I think Boldin will have the most affect on Lockette. He will pass Jenkins.

Boldin plans on being an influence and a mentor to our young receivers. He did a good job with Torrey Smith i think hell do great with all of our young receivers as well.
Has good height, speed, strength, hands, etc...convert him to a FS so he can compete for starting position.

i hope this dude makes it. sounds really promising but at the same time im skeptical of him, why was he available for us to pick up if he was any good?

Wasn't he on our practice squad last season? Didn't he turn down a couple of teams who wanted to pick him up off our PS and sign him to their 53 man roster, and he said "no thanks?"

So he was "available" b/c he was signed to the PS as a raw prospect, and now he's developed, and continues to develop into a capable WR with lots of physical talent, combined with a great work ethic. He just seems to need some playing time, some game time experience.

Yeah, he's still got alot to prove, and much competition, but there are doubtlessly many other teams who'd love to get him. Its gonna be fun to watch him.
