Can't always dig out of a huge hole. And while the O can score quickly they needed alot of help to rack up those points. Do not forget that the D sacked Flacco and forced a punt from deep in their zone which Ginn then runs back to their 20 (most teams can handle a 20 yard drive). Then our D forced a fumble which we get at their 25 yard line (once again setting up our O on a very short field).
These things go hand in hand and we need to be more consistant on both sides of the ball!
True, but we were moving the ball fairly easily on the Ravens. The offense racked up 468 yards of total offense. But I agree that we always seem to start out slow. Against Atlanta the first two drives, we looked like we had no ability to move the ball. And then after that the Atlanta defense couldn't once stop us. In this game it was more off and on. In the first half we were able to move the ball with ease at times, but it seemed like the LMJ fumble killed a little bit of that momentum. But from our second possession on in the third quarter the Ravens really had no answer for our offense. The other thing is that it looked terrible when we came out in an illegal formation on the very first play of the game. We had two weeks to prepare and our first play is an illegal formation?
