Congrats to the Ravens they wanted it more, we can't continue to spot teams 17 & 22 points and expect a "W"

I swear that this is what these games come down to. They wanted it a little bit more. Just like we wanted it a little bit more in Atlanta.

Yeah, I had the same thought as well. If they were passing, they were better off taking that 5 yrd penalty. Under 2 mins and behind, I rather have the team keep the time outs.

And it would have given us some SPACE to run better routes. Our coaches simply don't understand the importance of clock management and timeouts. Timeouts are much more valuable then avoiding 5 yard penalties.

10 points off turnovers and a a special teams TD.

math there is simple.

romans play calls at the end made it seem he did not want it

Yeah, from time to time, they seem to forget that our bread and butter is the RUN. We had so many RUN plays that resulted in TDs during this play off run and when it matter most with just 5 yards to go...we decided to pass. Such a heart breaking loss. The only bright side is: Thank God we aren't still being coach by Nolan and Sing.

true.

Also, our redzone execution sucked. If crabtree didnt drop that pass in the 1st, and if the playcalling didn't get weird and illogical, then i think we would've had a shot.

But to sum it up, the ravens imposed their will on the 49ers.

We keep falling behind early in games. I think that's the reason we lost.
Because we weren't up for this game. The Ravens came out and punched us in the mouth and we took it! Oh and horrible game plan and play calling! Whatever happened to screen passes, crossing patterns, delayed traps and fraws?

I think the pass you are talking about with Crabs was really for Moss who was wide open behind him, but Crabs leaped high enough to try and bring it in! Simms saw that too and mentioned it on air!

it could have been for moss, but the reason i think it was an overthrow was because crabtree was right there.... either way it's a missed opportunity. not gonna point fingers.
It seemed like we were having a Singletary-era difficulty in calling plays, nearly incurring a delay on almost every play. That time out that we wasted in the 3rd quarter was crucial, as we could have killed the clock with more than 20 seconds left in the game. Clock management was terrible. I almost threw my beer when we nearly got a delay penalty on the 5 yardline.
Was it all to Crabtree... I'm still shocked. VD, Moss, or Walker -- not one time. What about that play from the Lions game of last year.

You can't keep falling behind and expect to catch up and win the game every time. Also as I've said often, Crabtree had become the go to guy and this caught up with them in the end. It became pretty predictable who the pass was going to during crunch time.

OH WELL! Not bad for a QB who's only played 10 games to go and play in the Superbowl.

Things will get better but so will the competition. This year was no cakewalk winning the division, next year will be a lot tougher.

Still how many two year coaches do you know that has taken a losing team and turned them around to contend in the Superbowl this early?

Congrats 9er's for your accomplishments.
Easy:

1) The touchdown to Jones on 3rd down
2) The kickoff return.

Done and Done.

i want to agree with you, but who knows when our next appearance in the SB will be? i'm confident this team can, but who knows for sure? it's been 18 years before yesterday......
