I'll leave that thread for you to make. My wrists hurt from this one. lol
That was an awesome post. Bravo

Great stuff stone-man!

Now someone needs to graph/chart this data into MS Excel to illustrate fan cockiness levels throughout the game.
That was so much fun to read, it's like our game day thread in reverse! haha, tough loss for them, seriously, at least we didn't blow a 17 point lead last year. Oh, wait we did to NO! That didn't feel like a blown lead though, Same, but I don't remember feeling like we'd blown a lead ever in that game. probably cuz it was so high scoring.
Awesome! It hasn't really hit me that we won the NFC yet... and I think its because I want the Lambardi. Go Niners !
LOL great job Stoney! seeing the confidence level go from +100 to -100 is awesome!

I find it hilarious that they all thought Douglas' catch was indeed a drop. The refs ruled it a catch and they were life ZOMG THANK U REFS!!!!

Then when we stop them on 4th down and win the game they complain that the refs rigged the game in favor of the Niners.

Pure Comedy.

It's one thing for 49ers fans to call it a drop. But if Falcon fans thought it was a drop too, we definitely got hosed on that call.

And FYI, love this thread man. Absolutely love it! Will probably read it again as I watch NFL Replay tonight!

Late responses I wish I could have replied to...

I can't take this. I'm switching over to Iron Chef.

Felt the same way at this point. This was when we got the ball back after the Crabs fumble, still down 3. I was in reno watching the game and had to walk out of the casino for some fresh air, couldn't handle it, my heart was racing and I needed to calm down.

playing not to lose once again...nice call koetter. 3rd and 6 and call a 4 yd route

I love not feeling this way anymore. Some may disagree with me about this at times with Harbs, but even when we lose, i don't ever feel like the Sing/Nolan days of playing not to loose. ESPECIALLY Sing... my god, it was like don't matter if the O scores, just don't turn the ball over.

Man I hate the read option.

Great QBs are born in moments like this. Itll be interesting to see how this game plays out.

Yep.

Yup. NO CATCH. Go for it?

Nearly every person in the ATL thread knew that wasn't a catch.... that call would have gone down in history "tuck rule" style had we lost.

I WANT MATT RYAN GONE!!!!!!!! I WANT HIM GONE!!!!!!! GONE!!!!!!!

Please.... really? They had two TDs that were just uncoverable, the cat had a nearly miracle SAVE in the game against Seattle. In the history of great combacks snuffed, that one would be up there IMO. At least 20 NFL teams would take Matt Ryan in a heartbeat.... However, Niners aren't one of those teams.

Ryan has officially started his career in a bit of a Marino/Elway/Manning fashion. Great QB who gets snuffed in post season. I'll say this, I'd rather lost to ATL last year and beat NY this year.
great thread dude
How did our Bend not Break defense become bend and break.

CLASSIC!!!
Absolutely GREAT thread Stoney!
Thank you for putting all these together for us.

The way humans interact with the Internet is incredibly fascinating to me! So so interesting, nothing in the history of humanity has given a person an environment with pretty much 100% privacy and nearly no consequences.

The way humans interact with sports is also incredibly fascinating. put the two together in a game day thread and you've got a Willy Wonka Psychological Factory!

Unlike other threads, which have a lot of interactions/conversations/arguments, the game day threads rarely have a reply post. the thread moves so fast that you don't even really have time to read what other people are posting. Comments are like pennies in a fountain.

I talk to myself hardcore during Niners games. The game day thread is like another outlet for it. I say thing back to back like...

"It's over, we're not going to the SB, I've got to get used to that thought! No, we just need to put together a drive right here, just put something on the board, we score and hold them and get the ball back 17-7 we've got a chance to make it a 1-score game with momentum. we're ok."
My favorite line is: I WANT MATT RYAN GONE!!!!!!!! I WANT HIM GONE!!!!!!! GONE!!!!!!!

LOL! Atlanta must be flooded with Pro Bowlers and Ryan is the weak link holding them back. Maybe Atlanta can package a deal in the draft and move up in the first round to get Geno Smith.

I wonder if in the Patriots forums have Fans saying I WANT TOM BRADY GONE!!!!!!! GONE!!!!!!! GONE!!!!!!!!

Good read for the 2 weeks we have off!
Winner- best thread ever.
