The milwaukee Journal wrote a great article on Kaep yesterday

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/kaepernick-a-quick-nfl-study-9989fj7-186119641.html

The difference between Colin Kaepernick and Alex Smith is obvious. It's entertainment value. Suddenly, the San Francisco 49ers' offense has upgraded from VCR to Blu-ray.

"They think a lot of him in terms of handling the offense and making those decisions at the mesh point when they're doing the zone read stuff," the scout said. "In terms of 'Here's the play, you have 2 or 3 options, make the best decision,' they feel confident that he can do it."

Green Bay is taking notice. If nothing is available downfield, that's when Kaepernick will take off, Williams said. In coverage, safety Morgan Burnett says he can "make you pay" if you slip up. And while, Seattle's Russell Wilson, Indianapolis' Andrew Luck and Minnesota's Christian Ponder all had running ability, inside linebacker A.J. Hawk agreed the Packers haven't faced a quarterback this dynamic all season.

Kaepernick's game is based on smarts first. By comparison,
Russel Wilson scored a 28 on his Wonderlic test
Robert Griffin III had a 24.
Andrew luck scored a 37
Kaep also a 37

That is unfortunately Alex's biggest downfall or enemy...... He thinks too much. Too analytical and it affects any type of playmaking ability.

I am not going to get into a debate about the wonderlic test, but isn't the whole point of it to make very fast, accurate decisions, thus if you score high you are both intelligent and decisive (in theory)?
Kap is a smart guy and thats why he and AS both fit the mold of a Harbaugh QB. Kap is still inexperienced though and still needs to read defenses better which is why he isnt dominative on the field. But i expect all this experience in the playoffs, win or lose, will make him unstoppable with years to come. He will be able to manipulate defenses better.

Win or lose i still think Harbaugh made the right choice picking Kap because he has the more potential at the position
So your say in with the whole potential thing.... its worth not winning a super bowl this year for next years???

Something like that. It is a timed test, the questions get harder as you go along. I actually took it once (never got to find out the results)
As Eric Davies said, there was no guarantee we were winning the Superbowl this year with Alex Smith!
Good article - let's get ready to rummble!
That is a great article. Apparently sports journalism in WI >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> sports journalism here.

Here our newspapers hire kids to tell us that Randy Moss is the new cool kid that WRs talk to between drills
