49ers Playoff Scenarios?

Anybody care to explain it? If we win and so and so loses who do we play? Or if we lose and so and so wins and what not?

Would be appreciated thanks.

No. 2 seed
The San Francisco 49ers would become the second seed if they defeated Arizona and if Green Bay lost to Minnesota.
The Packers would become the second seed if they defeated the Vikings, or if the 49ers and Seattle Seahawks both lost.
The Seahawks would become the second seed if they defeated St. Louis, and if the Packers and 49ers lost.

No. 3 seed
The 49ers would become the third seed if they defeated Arizona and Green Bay also won, or if the 49ers and Seahawks lost.
The Packers would become the third seed if they lost and if the 49ers won, or if the Packers lost and the Seahawks won.
The Seahawks would become the third seed if they won and Green Bay won and the 49ers lost.

No. 5 seed
The 49ers would become the fifth seed if they lost to Arizona and Seattle defeated St. Louis.
The Seahawks would become the fifth seed if the 49ers won or if the Seahawks lost.

No. 6 seed
The Bears would become the sixth seed if they defeated Detroit, and if Minnesota lost.
The Giants would become the sixth seed if they won and if Dallas lost and if Minnesota lost and if Chicago lost.
The Redskins would become the sixth seed if they lost and if Minnesota lost and if Chicago lost.

Thanks. Chicago at home would be ideal I think.

it's the most likely scenario.

Then we would play GB in GB

Then Atlanta would beat Seattle (Seahawks will beat the 4th seed)

So the winner of the GB/SF matchup WILL DEFEAT atlanta in the nfc championship game

Can easily see the GB, Chicago & Washington games going either way. Just have no read on those games at all. Eagles might even beat the Giants now that Vick is playing.
We will have either a first round bye OR host Chicago in the Wild Card OR travel to Dallas/Washington in the Wild Card.
Explained differently :
The niners game is relevant cos they play for
- the n°2 seed
- the n°3 seed
- the n°5 seed
We cannot have 1, 4 or 6

Our game is irrelevant if packers win and seahawks lose or tie
But all three teams play at the same moment 4:25pm kick off time so it will be relevant as follows:

Seed 2 :
Means packers lose or tie at vikings
If vikings win they are in BUT...
...Vikings can rest their players if only this scenario happens : lions + eagles + redskins win their 1:00pm kick off ( that would be bad news for us : vikings would be automatically in)

We have a first round by and play in the next round at home :
GB if they win their first round vs vikings
If not the winner of Dallas/washington vs seahawks

Seed 3 :
Means Packers have won
We must win or tie if seahawks win

We are also n°3 if packers + niners + seahawks lose

We play a first round playoffs at home vs 6th seed ::
vikings if they won in week 17 if not then Chicago if they won in week 17
Too many scenario after that

Seed 5 :
Means Seahawks have won
Means we lost to cards

We play a first round playoffs away from home at 4th seed :
Winner of redskins-cowboys week 17 game

We need the Vikes to beat the Cheese and We need to beat the Cards, if both those happen, we get the #2 seed and a week off and then a home game. If the Cheese beat the Vikes and we beat the Tards, then we'll host Chicago at home in the wildcard round.
I see us as the 3rd seed. Injuries will definitely be a concern now.
