"Rushing only 3. WTF is Harbaugh doing?"
"49ers back to man to man, but showing the wear."
Our coaches let them back in the game. Even the homer Patriots fans could see it.
Too bad, it was our chance to blow the doors off the NFL with the statement game of the decade.
I still feel like we did! First team in a decade to beat the Pats in Foxboro in December!
Statement game of the year.

Yeah I see what you mean. but...suppose we go all the way this year, this game takes on much more significance in retrospect. A passing of the torch moment, even.

I agree. It could be remembered as the turning point or "passing of the torch" game depending on what happens from here on. But as far as right here, right now, we sullied the moment a bit by letting them back into the game.

I like that we saw both in this game though. We flat out dominated Tom & co for 39 minutes of that game, which we all loved. But if you close out the game and he's looked like turds the whole time, it becomes like the old Cowboys games where the "real" Cowboys never showed up and they chalk it up to having an off day. The failed comeback saw all of the magic that Brady and Belichick could muster--this was the real deal we are playing here--and we still beat them. Best of both worlds.

I wonder how many times a team has beat A. Rodgers, DBrees, & Tom Brady at their place?

Probably never.
Last season, the Giants beat the Patriots in Foxborough in November. They beat Green Bay in the playoffs, but they got killed by New Orleans in the Superdome.

49ers have a decent list of wins this year.

How the hell did the Rams beat this team?
my sentiments exactly.
When this team is firing on all cylinders, it can't be beat. We can play D like nobody else, we can run the ball with the best of them and now have a deep passing attack. No reason why we shouldn't be hoisting that lombardi trophy in February.

A couple of their posters know the truth
We should stop blaming the refs. Our first half performance was one of the worst in patriot history, certainly in Brady history. If SF was playing better, we would have been down by much more.
I still don't know quite what happened there, but think I can add this:the 49ers depth is incredible.
Also, this was a great tweet:Quote:
@FO_ASchatzWhen you consider how many of these players were on SF two years ago... Was Mike Singletary the worst head coach in the history of the NFL?
Borges on the CSN game says it has to be concerning that the offense when faced with the pass rush early on and then late in the game after the kickoff return +TD couldnt handle the rush and coverage and only managed to move it when 49ers backed off on the rush and played more zone.

I know! It drives me nuts when we go ultra conservative with a lead. I understand that you want to keep everything in front of you and not give up the quick big score. But when it's 31 to 3 you have the cushion to stay aggressive on D until they PROVE they can beat it and score quick.

Aldon and Justin should both sue Kevin Gillbride for defecation of character!! I don't blame Jim for freaking out after hearing those comments. Because since then every stupid A$$, ignorant, player hating fan uses that excuse for their dominance. Every team does it and Justin has NEVER been called for it. It could also effect the pro bowl voting and other accomplishments they would receive, which in turn could effect their contracts. I F*cking hate Gillbride and wish Buddy Ryan would sock him in the face again.
