The man he replaced, Alex Smith, never tossed more than three scoring passes in a game since San Francisco drafted him first overall in 2005. But he definitely did not pass the eye test. That was some more ugly QB play. Lucky bounces on those fumbles.

4 TD passes in NE in December, that doesn't happen with anybody else under center for the 49ers
