I want Mario against the Pats:(.
But if he can play in the Seasocks game..I'd be happy with that.

I'd like to see Mario used in a welker like kind of role , move him around in the slot and use his speed to attack slower defenders ....Give the Pats a taste of their own medicine ....but if Mario cant go , I hope Jenkins gets a couple passes thrown his way

Any news on Manningham? He seemed to have good chemistry with Kaep.

MM doesn't have the tight space agility to be an effective slot receiver. Kyle Williams was the best out of the slot. His absence has hurt.
49ers next year must solve the problem of a lack of speed in the WRs, also find a better slot guy. Hopefully Jenkins can fill the former role but I'd like to see a better slot guy. It'll be interesting to see what position Baalke targets in the draft and possible FA. I don't see him being able to attract a good slot receiver in FA. Draft is the best shot.

LOL Your a clown. Mario is one of the quickest Wr's in the league, tight space or with room to work. Kyle's agility doesn't even COMPARE to Mario! I'm afraid Kyle isn't even faster then him either. This is the dumbest s**t i read in December, by far

I completely disagree. Mario is a much more complete receiver, however, Kyle Williams is much faster. At this point, I think Mario is shiftier/quicker and runs better routes, but Kyle's still young. I believe this is his 3rd season in the league. This injury might set him back some, maybe even cost him a roster spot come 2013. However, I hope to see the young guy in 2013. He doesn't give up and he's fun to watch.
And to be honest, Mario's not that fast. He's just a great route runner and diagnoses a defense better.
Now, is Mario better than Kyle? Definitely. But Kyle's still growing and learning.

No I dont have a problem with wider threads like this existing on their own. I locked a couple which are purely pregame threads with another name.

When it comes to style and simalarities, Kyle Willams=Jeremy Kerley. Mario Manningham=Stevie Johnson. Mario got this quick twitch off the line that is sort of like Chad Johnson in his prime.
Kyle will never be featured much, he will always come off the bench and be a role player no matter if he's suiting up for the 49ers or any other of the 31 teams.
Mario will always know how to get open, easier and quicker then Kyle, (ESPECIALLY IN THE SLOT). Kyle couldnt even get open in the NFCC game last year to help Crabtree, pffft

Not saying I think it should happen or even that it can cap wise, but I am curious what the zone thinks and I am to lazy to make a thread over it. But there is looking to be a serious chance, Welker, Jennings and Bowe will all be left exposed to free agency this year. You all made me think of it by saying we have no true slot guy and Welker is the quintisential slot reciever if there ever was one. First of all what would we have to let go to land one of these guys? Next on the list would you want any of them and third...which one if you did?
I think we would have to give up too much and should just draft another guy to bring along. But if we did go this route I would say we would have to lose Goldson, Ginn, and Soap and I would pay Welker. I would draft a Stud Saftey in the First and a true Nose in the second to fill the holes and our WR corp would be Crabtree, Welker, Moss, Rio and Jenkins. Welker is also a great kick returner and LMJ is learning that spot as well. Pretty damn lethal. We would have to realy address the position next year though with another year on Welker, a probably retirement for Moss and Rio and Crabs impending resigns.
