Use what they do well against them. I believe that Patrick or Bowman can have some success covering Hernandez but I don't believe they have anybody ready to cover Vernon.
New England's TE dont worry me, its Wes Welker that will kill us. Roger wont be able to cover Welker....he's too quick.

wont have to cover him with brady running from aldon all game long. hes proven that theres not a tackle in the league that can stop him from living in the backfield. whitner goldson willis and bowman will break welker in half if he tries to go inside. i think our corners can hang with their receivers.

I think the teams that can get to the Patriots offense are teams with a good pass rush and athletic linebacking core.
49ers have a good pass rush and the best and most athletic linebackers in the game. These guys can match up vs. Aaron Hernandez and anyone of their 'outlet' receivers such as Woodhead.
Also, we have some decent man-to-man guys in Brown and Culliver. I'd imagine Cullver will be on Lloyd. But I can definitely see Brown on Lloyd and Culliver matched up 1v1 vs. Hernandez.
I think we match up pretty well vs. the Patriots and I'm curious if we can rattle Tim Brady

We can stop them but can they stop us? I don't think so. Us and the Skins get more yards per snap than any other team and our stats are skewed because we milk clock at the end of wins. We just simply don't take a lot of snaps because we chew clock and shorten the game but we have one of the most efficient offenses in this league. We have have the fewest snaps but have done the most with them. My only concern is with Kendall out, how will LMJ fare and with Kaep under center will he protect the ball, make the right reads, and get plays off on time. We have a Dallas Cowboys 1990s offense in a sense. We are very balanced and we are tough to get off the field without scoring and defensively we are taking away the run and the pass this year and we are making life miserable on opponents. Their only hope is to play our type of football or get dominated trying to be pass happy. I don't think the Pats can beat us this way, even in their own home

Speed kills. We're gonna need a safety over the top at all times with Lloyd and Stallworth running wild. Hopefully Brown doesn't get made a fool of. We have that security over top and middle sealed we're good.

I wouldn't underestimate the Patriots defense. They near the top 10 when it comes to Points Allowed around 21 PPG.
49ers are #1 at 14 PPG.
Patriots Front seven are pretty good. Wilfork, Spikes and Mayo are really good. If Talib is hurt, then that leaves a hole in their secondary but McCourty and Arrington are both ball hawks and make a lot of plays.
Their defense is pretty good.
This will be a great test for the team and in particular, Kaep.... he's going to have to make some throws to win.

The schedule came out months ago, why is everyone so surprised or scared? Did you all think the Pats and Seahawks would suck???

I agree the Patriots defense is much improved, but, our offense is very powerful, physically imposing, and extremely efficient especially when we take care of the football. When we are moving the ball and scoring Brady can't do anything about it except wait his turn and when he gets it, he will face the best defense in this league, one that was carefully constructed over the offseason for exactly this type of opponent. If we can drop 7 in coverage and continue to have sound tackling, then they face an uphill battle. I just don't think people understand that when we are running the ball effectively there isn't a defense on this planet that can stop us without dedicating 8 in the box outside of SFO's own. They will have to cheat in the box and when they do, I have full confidence that we will make them pay dearly. I have more faith that our defense can stop them than I do them stopping us. They have improved defensively but not enough to stop this offense from toting the pill without cheating. Also, the Patriots defense can keep scores down when they can dominate on offense but there isn't an offense in this league that will consistently dominate this defense. We will dominate them offensively before they will us. You have to play our game to beat us and I am more concerned about that being SEA than I am it being NE

I also want our guys on defense to hit with an added vigor this week. I want to see kill shots on national TV for the whole world to see.

Brady had to have sold his soul to the devil. Late round draft pick wins multiple superbowls and marries a supermodel? c'mon! Illuminati fo sho.

The Rams defense is much better than the Patriots defense. So don't think that Kaep won't do enough to score touchdowns. He has faced some big time defensive teams and the Patriots have holes on defense.

it's their offense I"m worried about. We have a great D, but the Pats keep a relentless pace. Play after play, they get to the ball fast and snap it before the D can adjust. Our DL better be working on their cardio this week.

Jesus Christ, Donte Stallworth. The guy was out of the league and now we need a safety over the top. The Tom Brady effect.

i think we need to be physical with their WR's at the line to disrupt the timing
We can't let brady have all day in the pocket. Play physical at the line, blitz and don't worry about being deep down the field. I think teams get too concerned about the big play against the patriots. We need to take it to the New England Patriots and make THEM play left handed.
I have a feeling they are going to make Kap beat us.
The real key to the game?
KAP NEEDS TO STOP FUMBLING THE DAMN FOOTBALL
