Homerism at it's finest! I don't get all this animosity towards Jacobs. The signing was a little mysifying to begin with, since it seemed he was done anyway, but don't blame him for that. and why blast a player for actually wanting to play? We really don't know what the 9'ers told him when they signed him and maybe, just maybe, he was led to believe he'd actually get a chance to get on the field. Yeah, I guess you're not supposed to voice your displeasure in a public forum; unspoken rules and all, but the ripping he's getting is a trifle excessive. And, if it's a question of him not being good enough, then cut him already! Why drag it out?

I think it's more about a lack of class. Bad mouthing his coach & the organization. Besides, 400,000 people are needing jobs & he's whining about his job not going the way he wants it to. Maybe he should go work for peanuts & see how it likes it then.

He was unhappy in new York too he doesn't realize he's not an elite back. It's actually sad because he is f'ing himself out of a job next year.

if we play the giants in the playoffs, he better not touch the ball. He'll fumble that s**t on purpose.

He's been know to run his mouth, thats pretty much all hes good for these days

I just don't see why we even keep him around? He's a liability. Is there some sort of financial reason why he hasn't been let go? It no make a no sense.

I'm sick of that guys whining. But with that being said I think we need him. We are much thinner now without Kendall Hunter. And LaMichael James is hugely unproven and had a terrible preseason. I don't think we can cut the guy right now. He is effective as a downhill runner for 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 or around the goal line. He can get the tough yards. Jacobs is just older now. He's lost a step and had some injuries. The Giants for all purposes mainly gave up on him. And he is here in a backup role. He hasn't accepted that new role. It's just where he is at now. He's not the featured back anymore. He's had a hard time accepting it. I can appreciate a guy being competative. But the whinny stuff I can live without.
