Man, Kendall has an achilles tear. Those are tough to come back from. Wish him the best of luck.

Suggs came back from his achilles tear in a decent timeframe and has been playing okay. Even though he is a douche

His was a partial tear, though. Complete tears are a b***h to come back from.

Dixon should get the most touches behind Frank with Jacobs getting the short yardage stuff.

I hope not, if we cant use a 2nd round pick now something is seriously wrong

Yeah, I forgot about James. He'll get his touches, too.

Keep in mind...even though he had surgery, Suggs only had a partial tear (according to ESPN).
According to this medical article from 2010, the prognosis of an Achilles rupture for NFL "skilled" players were not as encouraging.

Of the 31 players who sustained an Achilles tendon rupture, 21 (64%) returned to play in the NFL at an average of 11 months after injury. In the three seasons following their return, those 21 players saw significant decreases in games played and power ratings compared to the three seasons preceding the injury.

...nearly 36% of affected players never return to playing at the NFL level.

Let's all hope it's only a partial tear.
Matt Barrows ‏@mattbarrows It's official: Kendall Hunter and Kyle Williams to go on IR; Jewel Hampton has been activated. 49ers sticking with 52 players for now
Kendall and K.Williams placed on IR. Hampton activated from NFI. Chad Hall signed to P-Squad, and we are trying out kickers.

They can be a luxury if Jenkins and James pan out.

If the thoughts of James being a change of pace guy are true, Hunter is not a luxury.....he's the better work horse.

I'm not sure if we have enough cap space to bring in any more free agents.

That's all we need from James. Gore is still the work horse.
dam kw and Hunter gone for the year it would happen against the f**king saints go figure. I really like Hunter alot he is so explosive, every time he touched the rock it seemed like he was going to break a big gain. Well everyone's been clamoring to see what our rooks can do guess we finally get to see what they are made of now.

No need for free agents. These losses should and can be replaced internally.
Wow. What a costly game. Both out for the season....
Damn gonna miss hunte in the running game. Next man up.
