Is it just me or is Delanie Walker the cause of many drops & interceptions!?

For everything Delanie gives you blocking, he still drops passes. He dropped the winning Touchdown today. Harbaugh and the staff live with it because
he brings the something in the passing game and in pass protection. He caught the game winner in Detroit last year. He dropped the game winner today.
It's something they know he'll do, but they live with it. Even if you cut him, you have to get somebody better who can block and catch. I don't think they're focused on that. Focus on the real playmakers like Vernon, Crabtree and Gore, and Manningham

As official Chairman of the Delanie Hater club, I must say that I can't wait to get rid of this glorified H-back with stone fingers.

Delanie Walker is the cause of unrest in the Middle East.

But.....WHAT will the 49ers do without a tight end that is wider than he is taller????

he's not used to catching the ball anymore
All I hear are excuses. These sound like the same excuses yall gave Alex and we know how that turned out.

You could draft Jordan Reed from Florida in the 3rd Round. He's an H-back/hybrid type.
Perfect replacement for Walker

Well the board use to blame Alex for his drops.

Just as Magic fans accepted that Shaq couldn't hit a free throw to save his life, 49er fans should accept that this is the best they can expect from Walker, a good blocker, but we should all treat it like a special occasion when he actually holds on to a pass.

This "good blocker" thing is getting over used. He's alright when chipping not very good inline 1v1 and decent when he traps thats more coaching than him being a dominant blocker. Definitely replaceable. We don't need both of the TEs to be down field threats. Our second te needs to be an outstanding blocker and able to be consistently effective from the los to about 15 yards out.

Totally on the fence with him.
We need an upgrade next season.
