Because we opted for signing Ray Mac rather then drafting a top 10 3-4 DE. Aldon shouldn't be a part of the discussion at all. If we hadn't have resigned Ray Mac we would've drafted Watt for sure.

yes but its been clear since day 1 that we dont rotate players on defense. Our starters play every play possible unless they have equipment issue or an injury of some kind.

Haggans will never see the field unless Aldon or Brooks goes down.

We honestly don't have the right three guys for the 3 4 scheme. The Giants used our own Jumbo package scheme on us and it wore the defense down. Quite clever actually. We have the personnel for a mean 4 3 by throwing Aldon on the line and moving Ray next to Soap. My opinion.

Yep. Rotation wins games, even the Steelers did it when Aaron Smith was healthy. The Ravens do it, and did it when Suggs was healthy. Our mentality is a bit old world if you will. Yes we have the luxury of having a front 7 that can play every snap but that doesn't mean we should do it. Willis and Bowman are the only players that should never leave the field in our front 7. The other 5 could all benefit from a moderate rotation that is affected by field position, time of the game and sub packages of the defensive scheme.

Our pass rush is dropping back into coverage.
