When did we have 2 overall #1 picks? This is a fandom reared on Joe Montana and Steve Young and the brilliant Bill Walsh. Under Singletary -- and by osmosis, under York -- San Francisco never preached offensive creativity, never developed a reliable quarterback despite having two No. 1 overall picks.

Ok , I thought they meant our own picks that the niners made.

Not a very impressive prediction. Doomed, and Smith is surely gone!

To be fair, who would have thought that Harbaugh would be so emphatic in signing Smith. Without him championing Smith, Baalke would have likely go harder after Hasselbeck, who at the time was coveted by many 49ers fans.

Beats me, he was better THAN you could imagine back THEN.

By the way it's also "Who's got it better THAN us?"

I guess you didn't catch the sarcasm their my friend. I only put it in bold letters lol.

This.

JH has resurrected the confident, swaggering Alex Smith in these highlights:

I never saw this game. Interesting how Alex's throwing mechanics looked similar to Tebow while at Florida except Alex with a quicker release. The Urban Meyer connection. AS has obviously honed & polished his technique/mechanics last couple years. He ran the Meyer system wih great confidence (just like now with JH system).
