if packers had been able to beat giants last year, do the niners go in and beat packers like they did yesterday, and earn a trip to the super bowl---or would the same problems (i.e. lack of production at wr position) led to a packers win

Yeah and they would have had an easier time than they did with the Giants too.

Never crossed my mind cause the packers did not win and was a mute point. I deal with the present and now and not parallel dimensions that would adversley affect the space time continuem.

I dont think we win. No WR help, only Crabtree had any business of playing WR in that game, Swain and Hastings were/are terrible.
Our defense would of kept us in it, but Rodgers would of worked his magic. But it is what it is. Happy it's behind us, and ready for a long run in the playoffs. I want #6, I want to see a SB win that I can remember, born in 84, didnt see one till 94 season when I became a 49ers fan. I endured losing years by Erickson, Nolan, Sing, and I never liked Mariucci, so Harbaugh is the guy for the job, so glad he is here.
I thought it was respectful for Jed to tell Harbaugh to check all option, but he chose the right choice, not because I say so, but because I believe he wanted SF.

Doubt it if the Giants destroyed them and we almost beat the Giants how could you doubt we would have at least beat them, might have been closer but still I see a win.

Why are we debating the PAST? Forget about it, move on. Look to the bright future this team has.

Also what I think would be against us is January in Wisconsin, Snow would of sucked. I dread the New England game in December, snow is highly probable.

Bring on the snow. Snow will only shorten the field and this defense will only be meaner.

wouldn't that play into our favor? i'll take our run game over the Pats run game in any stadium.

Football is a game of matchups, we came into this game with the pack with better personell and used a blueprint of the Giants game of how to beat them. The offense last was not as efficient as this team was yesterday. Without that ST TD that should have been called back, the game wouldn't have been close.
Or take the giants, we beat them in the reg season but barely lost to them in the playoffs, but we should have beat them as we were at home, but didn't

Depends on the filed conditions, how hard and slick the surface is with the ice, even if they use the machines to melt the ice and warm the field. Still home field is home field advantage when good teams collide.
