Just thought of this, but I'd like to see if Tolzien has any wheels. I'm sure he isn't running a 4.4, but he may suprise you with his athletics. Never know.
Also would like to see him throw on the run since I can't remember really ever seeing him do that.
Basically, show me some athletic ability!

alex smith will have a great year.he will pass for 3,000 or more yards.I think coach harbaugh will let alex open it up as the season goes on.alex smith will be the first 49er quarterback since steve young to make it to the probowl.

Lord Tolzein will preform at such a high level we trade Alex and Kap. Annoint him our starter for life, he leads us to 15 rings and we all forget about Joe and Steve. Jed fires Harbaugh, rehires Singlecell as we dont need to waste money on coaches with this type of QB leadership.
Seriously, we wont see much new. Dont want to show what our line can/cant defend against going into GB with Matthews.
Alex will play a little, throw a couple of short balls. Kap will get some time, launch a few, run a couple of times. T and JJ will "compete" for the last roster spot. Johnson is gone on Friday, so he may get more time and more throws to keep the WR's from getting in a rut. If there is such a thing in a preseason game 4.
Its going to be run first, run often. We're not looking to showcase a qb or show GB anything. Harbs isnt an idiot, I seriously doubt the 53 man roster wasnt set 2 weeks ago (barring injuries)
As for keeping only Alex and Kap, Ive thought about that myself. Guess thats why the guys in the front office make so much money to do this everyday. I can see an arguement for and against 2 qb's on the roster. Trouble is, we really dont have anyone I can think of that is an emergency QB, and I doubt Baalke picked up Tolzien to ride the bench for one year, there isnt any logic in that. (for the record, Baalke seems logical, Harbs is anti-logic)

Fixed
But on topic....
- Alex Smith won't play, maybe a series
- Kaepernick will play the first half and have a 55 percent completion percentage, throw for 120 yards with a TD and maybe an INT
- Josh Johnson will play the 3rd and do less than Kaep
- Scott Tolzien will play like he has the past 2 preseason games (combined 5-13, 39 yards)

Bee-Rows did a nice little piece on Tolzien and whether or not there's a market for him. He makes a good point, but I still don't see him clearing waivers.
I like the ST's attitude though, Keep in mind, most of the stories reported about him this offseason spoke in regards to his "take-charge" mentallity, and how he has taken the rooks under his wing and kinda givin them hope and encouragement.
Just find it kinda funny how you don't hear about any of that kind of leadership from any of our other QBs, Alex is timid and not a center-stage guy, Kaep is too busy working on his game, and JJ is probably more the outsider who doesn't know too many of the guys and is just worried about making the team.
Hate to make the comparison again, but I really do see him as a "baby Drew Brees." If not here, I think he's got a future somewhere.
