my point, Dixon can run on these guys but LMJ cant.....?

am I wrong? for a 2nd round pick that was HIGHLY praised he looks very ordinary

LaMichael James: Height: 5-9 Weight: 195
Height: 6-1 Weight: 233

Give LaMichael a year, like Hunter has had. Needs to get stronger.

Hunter looked better in PS last year, and its not just strength.

Different situation. Every player is different.

every RB we have had has looked great in PS going back 4-5 years...out of all of them James is on the low end of first impressions

Sheets, Clayton, Coffee, Dixon all looked better IMO during PS. A highly touted 2nd rounder should be blowing by guys who are about to be unemployed.

Coffee looked good in preseason, sucked regular season. Sheets got injured. Dixon is a preseason warrior and look what he did last season when it counted. Like I said, every player is different. So many things could answer why James isn't wow'ing people. Give...it...time... As for punt returns though, yeah, rookie no doubt.

Agreed. James, for all of his hype, has been a non-factor. The talk of preseason in the backfield has been Hunter (looks even better than last year), Dixon (earned his spot over Carwright) and Jacobs (looked much sharper than in years past until he got hurt).

James has been the forgotten man and for a 2nd rd pick that was touted as an x-factor, that's not a great sign.

I'm not too concerned, as he is a rookie, and this is preseason, but it's not encouraging.

Hunter is gonna blow minds this year and Gore is going to show all the doubters that he still has A LOT left in the tank.

Those RBs you mentioned got more carries than LMJ has so far and they ran behind decent offensive lines. Thats why they looked good when in reality they were mostly terrible. You can't give those guys credit for what their OL did for them.

LMJ played well, he just didnt touch the ball much. He averaged over 5 yards per carry today and 13 yards per reception. I think youre weighing the punt returns too heavily in your judgement.

If I remember correctly, he had one run out to the right where he gained about 8 yards or so and was weaving in between the big linemen. He looked better than anything Dixon has done in his entire career.
How about Will Tukuafu at the fullback position. We was wiping guys out.
