Ginn's injury could lead to Williams returning punts in Week 1

http://blog.sfgate.com/49ers/2012/08/26/ginns-injury-could-have-williams-returning-punts-in-week-1/

Ginn limped off the field after he was tackled around the right ankle by Broncos linebacker Steven Johnson following a nine-yard reverse in the third quarter of San Francisco's 29-24 preseason win Sunday. Ginn was taken to the locker room and X-rays were negative, Jim Harbaugh said. Ginn missed the final two games of the 2011 regular season with a sprained ankle. He then returned for the NFC divisional playoffs, but suffered a knee injury that kept him out of offseason workouts.

If Ginn isn't ready for Week 1 against the Packers, Kyle Williams will likely handle punt-return duties.

He's playing inspired right now. Maybe he'll redeem himself. One can only hope.

If this happens, it'll be poetic justice. After all the BS he's had to go through.

If he returns a TD, it would be epic.

I don't think many people on here are expecting a W against GB. The pick 'em has the Niners at 79%, but I think there's a lot of red & gold colored glasses looking at that game.
I can't believe we are almost to single digits left.

The packers thread is going to be insane come game time. I predict 20 pages per second...lol
