Always liked Moran. People on here started hating him because he wasn't able to bail out Alex Smith when he made that crappy throw and missed the opportunity for a "give me" TD.
Moran seems like a stand up guy. He's always had great things to say about the Niners, even after we foolishly cut him in 08' in favor of Zack Keasey. I wish him well.

Didn't know about Larry Kirksey. That makes him and Kubiak as two Texans who were members of our '94 championship team.
Great respect for Moran. Good team player. That said, this is in the wrong forum.

Why, this is a post about a former 49ers player and coach and it has nothing to do with their current team.

Imo it was on both guys. One guy stopping short in the flat while the other guy was thinking he was going to keep running past the pylon. It was the first game of the season and looked like straight up mis communication. Pretty simple i thought, the over anylazation of that play is mind boggling.

Anyways I never disliked Moran, I just felt we needed a guy like Bruce that is a more well rounded full back. Moran was pretty much a straight up old school make way FB, which is fine, but he was never an offensive threat. I think with the JH and the WCO we needed some one who could catch the ball, and block. Thankfully Bruce is looking the part.

Not in my head. He's going to be the guy who plowed the way for our all time leading rusher.
