Alex Smith began Thursday's practice on another hot streak. His only incompletion among his first 15 pass attempts in the 7-on-7 and team portions coming when fullback Bruce Miller dropped a pass that hit him between the numbers. In a first-team vs. first-team drive situation, the offense was given the ball at the 40-yard line. It took Smith and tight end Vernon Davis all of one play to get into the end zone. Linebacker Patrick Willis had coverage on Davis, who ran a deep corner route, caught Smith's perfect throw in stride and took it the rest of the way for the touchdown. Undrafted rookie receiver Brian Tyms caught touchdown passes of 12 and 7 yards within a three-play period from quarterbacks Johnson and Scott Tolzien.

Smith's face seems to lit up and giddy every time he starts talking about Randy Moss. I think he's still star struck like the other guys on the team. Like, 'I can't believe we are talking about me throwing to Randy Moss'

guys, lets not start rubbin our nubs just yet. TC and preseason don't mean s**t. real game time situations are a whole different animal. Alex could digress back to his old check-down ass self in a heart beat.

IMO Alex did enough last year to start rubbing nubs together, think of the defenses we played along with the limited offseason and he still had what.. A 17-5 td/int ratio. This season we are facing worse defenses and better offenses. So all the haters not satisfied with 17/5 and wanting 30/10 are probably gonna get their wish. And then heads will explode! Alex breaking 30 td's in a season? Hell must of froze over... Or maybe that's just greenbay. ;-)

Yes and gore could suddenly grow old and useless, the offensive line could start terrible just like they did last year, the injuries we think are minor now at linebacker could continue into the regular season. Alot of things "could" happen and I remind you more things "could" happen other than alex regressing.
