Most threads in the zone are filled with debates, arguments, and assumptions on player's worth, value and potential, ex.
All that juicy analysis aside, and simply put, who do you like the most? It could be one of our best players, or one that may rarely, if ever, even see the field. Like, one of my old favorites, Cody Pickett! Maybe similar to what jersey you wear most, or who how you'd like to see have a good season above all others.

Alex 'True Grit' Smith.
And, it's usually been him since he became a Niner. But the reasons have changed in recent years...
I went to the University of Utah with smith, same age, I worked in the Cafeteria at school and would often see him, and Urban Myer when the team came in to eat. So that's why I pulled for him from the start.
But there were a few years, I'll be honest, I drifted away. However, it was the Eagles game in 2010, when it seamed there wasn't a soul in the stadium not booing him as he nearly came back and won that game.
I realized the guy had "True Grit" and I admired that. Staying in SF the following year really made me jump back on the Smith bandwagon. And it wasn't about how I felt him as a player anymore, just him as a human, and that's why he's my favorite. Today I don't even get in debates about him anymore. I just say, I love the guy, he's a real man, and I want more for him to succeed, regardless of what you or anyone may think.

Never wanted him in the draft, but I really think after all of this, that Alex moved up as my favorite current 49er. (shocker, I'm sure)
Beyond him, other favorites are: Jim Harbaugh, Gore, Justin Smith, Alex Boone, Vernon Davis, Sopoaga and RJF.
Expecting LaMichael James to get up there someday soon.

My favorite is Justin Smith.
That said, I REALLY want Alex to have a spectacular year and set some SBowl records.
Then we can email Jamie Pukes of the NFL network and rub it in his fat face.

Same. Justin is my favorite, but Alex is the guy I want to see have an elite year. The kid's earned it.

Big bad Alex .. the guy sets records for efficientcy , wins one of the best playoff games in history with hardly any W.R., helps turn the team around ... and still has more haters than chris brown!

Alex so he can be one of the greatest turnaround stories in sports ever

Joe Staley may not be an elite/complete LT, but the guy's a great leader/teammate, athletic as hell, and is fricken funny. I feel like I could go drinking with him or something. It's hard to believe he's 315 lbs. He looks like a TE.
