The Official Aldon Smith Thread

you could've admit this last year. He was A BEAST last year. Why did you decide to finally admit that you're wrong. I admitted that i was wrong last year.
because last year it came from the whole line and teams had to pick there poison this year its just him doing his thing and besides last year i didnt post at all
Better late than never, but you should have admitted this mistake a year and a half ago.
Yeah, I didn't like the pick at all either. However, halfway through last year I ate my crow. I manned up and bout his jersey most Sundays. However, last night for MNF I wore my Michael Crabtree jersey and of course Smith goes crazy on MNF with 5.5 sacks.
I think Aldon spent more time in the Bears backfield than Forte did lastnight.

A couple of things for young aldon

Bears Oline is absolute chilo.

Play until the whistle.

Act like ya been there.

Develop that same swim move operating from both sides......Damn that was nice!!!!

This may be greedy but if this cat ever develops an outside move then, look out.

You hit everything I was going to mention, esp "play until the whistle" and "act like you've been there". His excessive posturing after great plays is getting old, and running around like that on that Safety play, when it wasn't even whistled dead yet, and the ball was bouncing around, should have embarassed him. He should take a note from guys like Gore and Justin Smith who keep the celebrations to a minimum. He's a great player already and shouldn't need to grasp for the spotlight every time he does his job. Hopefully, like Vernon, he will mature. Pleased as hell to have him though!
I was never against the pick , I was a bit worried about the transition from a rush end in college , to an OLB in the NFL ....using him in passing situations in the nickel and dime packages was the right thing to do for his rookie season , it's safe to say he has progressed nicely
Most picks Baalke has made are good.

He's a lot better than the past guys we have had here.
The best part about this? He may be the 4th best guy on our defense.

94, 52, 53?, 99?
One thing about Aldon that hasnt really been addressed (at least I dont think it has).....

is that Aldon DOMINATES in nationally televised games. Look at his MNF/TNF/SNF games in his career. He ALWAYS shows up!
