I'll save my evaluation/speculation on Moss until after the mid-season mark. Though he did not appear to be nearly as fast as he once was during his last stint in 2010, my main concern is how he responds when things do not go all his way. If he really does want to salvage some of his rep, he may keep it together the entire season but that is not his history, hence I wait.

I agree other than the fact he could be a distraction if he lapse back into Bad Randy Moss mode if things don't go his way. If that happens, he will have taken reps/opportunity from Jenkins and Owusu that might have helped them to develop more quickly. However, given Harbaugh's willingness to cut Edwards at a critical point in the season tells me he won't take any Bad Randy nonsense if it happens.

I think Moss will have to show the rest of the league he IS still a threat before he changes the game plans of DCs. He certainly was NOT influencing them in his last season of play so he will have a challenge ahead of him. The default position will be single coverage until he shows the consistent ability to beat singles.

A lot of people keep saying this, I think if bad Randy shows up, then he will be cut just as fast as "Celebrate after every catch " braylon was cut last year.

"Whatever CC said, that is what I meant." Heck anybody who knows something about WR, if he is talking and teaching crbtre, or whoever, that is the ideal situation for team and fans. The fact that Jacobs and Mario chose to stay on and practice instead of going to pick up their SB rings, that too is good for team and fans. Hey, these guys, Mario, Jacobs, Moss, all have something they can impart to our guys and don't you know all younger 49er are all ears. The fact that crbtre is being taught by moss...how can that do anything but help make this team better? So good for the new guys for sharing wisdom and experience, and good for our guys for listening. In the end it all just makes us just that little bit better. With moss, it may make crbs a whole lot better.

Is there anyone out there who doesn't think we need a bit extra help, advice, on 3rd down and short or RZ 3rd downs? I'm with CC...anything anyone can do to help the team or individuals get better, hey we accept that ...gladly.

Lets put this in perspective. Fans should understand that at this point in the season Moss is suppose to look good. He's not in a "live" practice with bullets flying. He's going against air in shorts. If he looked anything other than good under these circumstances JH himself would buy him a ticket out of California.
