Well, this will be heretical to Kap fans, but the only thing I can see that makes sense is for Kap to be traded. Why? Because there were two other somebodys who wanted Kap so that we had to jump up to get Kap, and Coach & Baalke got a call from whoever it was and let them know of their interest in Kap. My guess is that Kap gets traded during the draft for either an extra pick (rd 2-3) or conceivably to move up in draft so we can get WR, Fleener or Zeitler. My bet (okay prayer) is that Coach not only gets Fleener he also gets Zeitler. If that were to be pulled off, it would be one helluva draft if we quit there. They say a great draft is to get three starters. For me, those two would be worth picks 2-6.
Caution: my guesses on drafts are so bad that none of this will probably happen...still, why buy JJ for $1mil? That doesn't make sense, unless he is #3, and that leaves Kap available for trade up, or an extra pick. We all know these two guys do not waste money, nor draft picks. Something is up. 10 days and we'll know. If Tolz were traded, I'd be sick, but it would have to be for a pretty high first rounder for Coach to give him up.

its the offseason, they can have 5 QB's on the roster if they wanted to. When it comes down to the start of the season, they will have 3 and maybe one will be signed onto the practice squad.
Correct, you have camp arms, because your starting qb could never throw that many balls during practice. However the challenge is delegating the first team reps to the starting qb and back up qb. This is a good problem to have, first time in years I like the qb depth.

Nobody is going to trade for a guy who has attempted 5 passes in the NFL.

Maybe Kap goes to Cleveland for #37. We moved ahead of Cleveland last year to get him. Might be one of the teams that had some interest in him.

thats actually a strong possibility especially since they lost out on RG3
but again its highly unlikely he will be traded

Why exactly is that a strong possibility?
NO team is going to trade us anything higher than a 3rd for Kap, on top of that I seriously doubt the team has ANY interest in trading Kap. Johnson will be the 3 at best imo. There is a reason Alex Smith only got a 3 year deal.

but that does not stop people from thinking he will be the starting quarterback at some point this year. they must have really seen something special in those five passes
