Kyle Williams is not good!!
Does he have potential? Yes
Bur homeboy not only fumbled 3Xs in the biggest game of his life, but he also got zero seperation vs the giants!!!
That's why Crabtree and VD were getting doubled and shadowed all game
VD had two td. Crabtree had one catch.....and was virtually shut down by single coverage by the giants third CB.......
I went back to watched some of the highlights of the the last 3-4 games of the season. Crabtree made some good catches and plays during those games. But he pretty much disappeared in the playoffs. Very disappointing. He doesn't seems to do much when the team play against a good defense.
Hmmm the Wr struggling against a good D is a reflection of how the Qb is doing against that same D
Not necessarily. VD doesn't seem to have that problem.
But every other receiver does? Not every receiving target on the team is going to be 6'3" 4.38 fast to get them wide open all the time. Better defenses equals tighter coverage or quicker closing. It is a reflection of WR AND QB.
6'3'' isn't that big of a receiving target for a TE though. Plenty of TE's are between 6'4''-6'6''
And how often have you seen Alex throw to Vernon on throws where there's an over the top defender? Most of the throws to Vernon were mainly behind the coverage (safer) throws. Rarely does Alex make a throw into surrounding defenders. He has ONLY consistently made throws to receivers where the defenders are only on one side of the throw: Deep corners, backfield crossing routes with a defender chasing, and out routes.
Once defenses started to put a man over the top on the Seam route, he's thrown it FAR less if hardly at all rather than zip it in.
