Much ado about nothing. Should have never changed them in the first place. I liked them the way they were back in the '70's. Why would an adult wear a jersey with some other guys name on it? I wouldn't. Especially for that ridiculous price. It's a free country, for now. Unless Obama gets reelected.

What's with all the crazy cleat colors doe? don't that have to be predominantly black or white?

Players will have the option, just like they always have, to wear the cleats that they want.

That's not correct whatsoever.

Real is for people wanting to support the team and pay for the players to play for the team we root for.

Fake is for fake fans. They will root for another team and don't feel bad for spending money on a fake jersey because they can root for another team and buy another team's jersey to pretend to be a fan.

I am invested emotionally and financially for the 49ers.

Sorry, because I don't feel it's right to pay knockoffs. These people are ripping people off. What if you made a product and I made a fake, that's essentially ripping you off.
Some might not want to watch this but someone posted this on an nfl board... it's the giants equipment guy talking about the new jersey/pants.

So it's not a lot different in looks but for players it's a lot different. More breathable with the pants having mesh on the side of the strips and in key areas of the jersey. Water resistant, flywire collar prevents your shoulder pad from coming out of the jersey after being tackled, 27% lighter but stronger... more comfortable. Also, pads around the hip area which might be a good thing since most players don't wear hip pads anymore.

How about we all agree the type of jersey or if you wear jerseys doesn't define how good or bad of a fan you are. Some fans buy other team's jerseys all the time just for looks. Some die hards like myself just aren't jersey people (I was when I was a kid). Some prefer to wear t-shirts, hoodie's etc to a game. There are casual fans who buy 250.00 authentic jerseys to fit in, there are die hards that buy knockoffs just because they can't afford a real one or don't want to spend the extra money.

You are right and like I said if you can't buy an authentic then don't buy at all.

There are other alternatives and shirts and hoodies is the way to go. I am not a jersey guy either but if I was, I wouldn't buy a fake.

I am going to buy this new uniform because it looks more like a performance "shirt". It's slim fitted and I will be wearing one when working out at the gym. I need my performance to pick up.

I like it because it doesn't look baggy or heavy with stitched numbers. It will make a good looking casual shirt-type jersey.

yep.

why do you think smaller market teams cant afford to sign the big free agents?

I, and most fans, who buy authentics are the reasons why you get to root for a talented team.

The fans allow this to happen.
