i was thinking since we seem to not care about carictor issues. WR Robinson Manningham Lyodd Ryal T.O? RB Tolbert Hillis (low risk high reward 3-1 guy only) get him cheap too FB there are a lot to chose from OL and DEF ? i havent been able to si and watch this all go down so i think all those guys are still open. any one got some FA they would like to add. what pos and whos left i would like to know?

Not necessarily. Manningham was lined up on the outside when he was in the game. Victor Cruz was always lined up in the slot in 3 WR sets and abused the nickel corners.

The Patriots are "still working" to get free agent Brandon Lloyd in the fold, according to the Boston Globe.

It was widely assumed that Lloyd was going to New England, but he then booked a visit with the receiver-needy Niners. It could be a case of setting market value. Lloyd reportedly told Patriots players that his contract demands in New England would be "reasonable."

Lloyd would seem to fit them much better than us. He's up there in age... Patriots like older vets. I don't think Lloyd will be cheap and he only exceeds in Josh McDaniels high flying offenses.

Guys to look at:

WR:
Ted Ginn - Would love to bring him back as return specialist/emergency wr
Mario Manningham - Wouldn't mind him if he was cheap... he will be want to be paid like a #1
Eddie Royal - Wouldn't mind him if he was cheap... he's a decent returner... ok WR... he will probably get overpaid
Mike Wallace - Not sure he is worth 50-60 million and a 1st round pick

Guards:
Ben Grubbs - Young but expensive.. sounds like the Saints are very interested.
Evan Mathis - Didn't allow a sack in 09 or 10... would be 31 half way into the season. Ravens interested....
Jake Scott - Will be 31 before the season starts... Started 117 of 120 games for Colts and Titans

The free agency class has been picked through fast. I would be happy just re-signing Alex and Ginn and using the draft for OL, WR and depth. Anyone we get is a bonus.
