Is Carlos Rogers Better than Cortland Finnegan?

We don't need a tackler like him we need more of a cover guy. I think in our defense Rogers holds more value. We have two of the greatest tackling machines that can both run sideline to sideline.

plus, we know how Carlos fits into our defense. AND he's a leader of the squad. I can't believe we're bringing that entire starting 11 back, that is going to be HUGE. if we can stay as healthy as we did last year, they will be even better IMO.
by far, and hes not a punk like cortland either.

Rogers is better.

Finnegan lacks discipline, has a bad attitude, or is just stupid.

"Since 2007, when Finnegan became a starter, he leads the NFL with 16 combined penalties for disqualification, face mask, horse-collar tackle, personal foul, roughing the kicker, roughing the passer, taunting, unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct."

I'm not trying to pick on Rogers but Finnegan would not have been turned into Victor Cruz's towel like that in the 1st half of the NFC title game.

Whew. Good thing we didn't sign him instead of good citizens and team players like Randy Moss and Perrish Cox.

Uh-oh.....

and think they didnt have an offseason last year and were that good. This defense will be scary

not only that but this defense also has depth, any one player could go down and we wouldnt be completely screwed.

Finnegan seems like a little prick and I hate his blond fro. Either way, Rogers is much better.

wasn't Finnedick voted one of the most hated players in the league
Finnegan is really over rated. I see him play every week, and I wouldn't want him here - especially for the money he was wanting!
They are used differently. Finnegan is left alone in man coverage more; Rogers runs underneath the receiver in man with help over the top.

I would say Rogers probably doesn't play man as well, or as physically as Finnegan -- which is why he wasn't preceived as well in Washington. But could Finnegan play in the 49ers scheme as well as Rogers?

He also wouldn't have been able to shut him down come the 2nd half. Carlos Rogers played no part in us losing that game. In fact you can argue his play put, along with the Defense as a whole, won us that game....No 3rd down conversions, KW handing them the ball inside our 30. Thats what lost us the game.
yes
Cortland is a f*g, lol
