If Ray MacDonald or Justin Smith go down for an extended period of time we are f**ked. We started unraveling for the limited time we were without Justin Smith this year.

Every team is worse without their best player. Justin is an elite DE/DT, they don't exactly grow on trees. I understand your trepidation, but Justin is an iron man. We would be wise to use a high draft pick on a future DE/DT though. I don't have much confidence in Dobbs, Williams, or Tukuafu to become starters in the future.

Can never have too much depth anywhere, I'd like to see us start drafting D-line players this year. Doesn't have to exactly be in early rounds, but if we can get a stud, I'd be happy

Absolutely. We arent going to hold players on the bench fit to fully cover Smith or Willis's role. Cant be done since the salary cap. I dont know about Dodds, havent formed an opinion yet. But a young development de or dt wouldmt go amiss.

there would be a dip with those guys out, but we cant comment on guys like dobbs who havent been given the chance to show it yet, the depth might be there but just not exposed to every fan just yet, rjf seems to fill in pretty well
