Despite the bitter disappointment of how close we came, I fear complacency and injuries may set us back. Also, Frank Gore is on the backside of his career. I don't expect him to duplicate last season and Hunter is not big enough to stay healthy and replace Gore's production.
Also, the 49ers were very lucky with injuries last season, WRs notwithstanding. Lack of depth on both the OL and DL could be highly problematic if injuries start to hit. Example: the Rams of last season. There have more talent than it appeared but the injuries just killed them.

This whole division has been in their rebuilding stages for the past few years & is now finally starting to emerge. In the next couple of years I can imagine this division being really scary.

I think this division could be really scary next year. The Seahawks basically are copying our blue print, strong defense and running game. Cardinals have a really good 3-4 that will probably only get better and if Skelton/Kolb works out they will be scary. The Rams will be good. Bradford is a really good QB and Fisher will have them ready to play. I see the NFC West becoming an elite divsion. We have complete teams, not one dimensional offenses like the NFC North.

Always find myself most worried about the Hawks. They just seem to me the most consistent I guess.
