Only move on my mind is Dwayne Bowe. -Bowe is not only more talented/mentally stable than Vincent Jackson, BUT would also be available at a cheaper price (seeing that he only had ONE off-year in his career last season with the new OC + Cassel out the final stretch of the season).

exactly, and he will demand 10M+ a year and get it if he was on open market. Plus 2 first rounders are compensation to get Bowe, plus the money, I say no.

they got a tough decision, franchise bowe and let a young good cb in carr test the market and most likely get big money from the likes of dallas and risk having a nice young duo of carr and flowers break up? or do they franchise carr and risk losing bowe when they have a wr they took in the 1st in jonathan baldwin whos in the same mold as bowe but taller in a good class for wrs this yr and a position thats so much more easier to find than a good cb. remember romeo crennel is their coach and a defensive minded guy, bowe is not a guarantee to be tagged

I'm not opposed to signing Bowe or Vincent Jackson both will help the niners offense immensely. With Bowe you get a guy who could stretch the field and can get a 1000 yards with QBs who aren't that great. With VJax you get speed and a big body but also he helps the other receivers and tight ends get open because he's a mismatch for corners. Bowe will likely get tagged but I could see VJax only helping the niners especially with VD on the other side if he's covered Vernon could get open, if VD gets double coverage then VJax can get open as well. Plus Crabtree could get more opportunities to get in the end zone with the coverages these 2 will require. I say they should go for these guys and give Alex some weapons, also with guys like Garçon,Manningham and Robinson I'm not convinced they'll produce more than Crabtree or Morgan for that matter.

Jacksonville is a sad franchise. They actually got a few good free agents last year, Landry, Posluzny, re-signed Mike Thomas. But they just didnt spend, imagine in 2013, when teams need to spend league wide 99% of the Salary Cap, They wont be able to get away with 31M in space left.

and LOL at Pittsburgh, 506K left, and Falcons 747K left, that wont help much.

Those that think we are going to max out our cap with flashy FAs are going to be disappointed.

That's not how Baalke rolls. The plan is not for the cap figures to resemble the Steelers and Falcons next season I would imagine.
