It'd be hard for me to like the Jets with Ryan as their coach. Im all for talking crap and being able to back it up. He's just found a way to make people hate him and his franchise for being arrogaunt. Granted they did make the AFC Championship game 2 times but he promised superbowl.

Lol...if you wanna talk craziness with names, the New Jersey Nets have a THIRD of their active roster composed of Williams'. Also, we've had a pretty crazy run lately with coaches named Mike or Jim. Our last 4 head coaches (Nolan, Singletary, Tomsula, Harbaugh). We've had 5 OC's named Mike or Jim since '05 (McCarthy, Hostler, Martz, Raye, Johnson). Several position coaches (previously mentioned Johnson, Singletary, and Tomsula, as well as Leavitt, Solari, maybe some others). And just for s**ts and giggles, 2 of 3 Singletary 1st round picks were Mikes - Crabtree (and if he were gone, we would have taken Oher) and Iupati.
Glad to have you with us Jetfan, always good to have people recognize a good team when you see it. Hope your good thoughts help this team to the next victory.

I just seemed surprised there are some who never really noticed how good Justin Smith has been since he got here. He has always been one of my favorite players. I remember when he was drafted by the Bengals, and during that time most of the Bengals top draft choices usually were busts. But you would always see Justin playing his arse off.

This man just beasted since joining the miners. It is why I bought his jersey when he was signed. Now thus year they are everywhere.
Justin Smith has had a great season and hope it continues
Did everyone see him push that OT into brees and then tackle the both of them.. Classic play right there.

Great to be welcomed on your forum! If it couldn't be my team it's the 49ers because I just love the style of play we share.
And we are both undefeated in the Super Bowl! Granted you've been there a lot more but hey it's a similarity

At this point, I'd say there is a Mt. Rushmore of Niner defensive players consisting of Lott, B.Y., Willis, and J. Smith. Yes I know we've had many many more outstanding defensive players, but I think those 4 are a significant notch above all the others.

I don't know if we've ever had another defensive player that you could say at a point may have been the best defensive player in the league (or even close). Maybe '94 but Deion was only here for that one year...

Dana Stubblefield at one point was as well, but I wouldn't put him on that top 4.

Welcome aboard!
Justin Smith is the BEST free agent the 49ers have ever signed.... Period!

Forget Deion, Richard Dent, Chris Doleman and all those other mercenaries.. Those guys came when the 49ers were the class of the NFL

I am surprised he even signed with the 49ers.. We sucked bad and were in the depths of Nolan dispair.

That must have been some helicopter ride.
JUSTIN SMITH NEEDS A MUTHAFUKIN RING YA FEEL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude..that play was straight BEASTLY. I wish we had a gif of that. An olineman is trying to black him as he's using his free hand to grab at Brees.

Aesome play. Hope he wins defensive MVP.

Another interesting fact, other than Solari, Leavitt, Tomsula, McCarthy and Harbaugh, all the other coaches share the same middle name: Wasteofspace.
