It certainly needs to be loud because this game could potentially be the LAST home game of the 2011 season. RAMP UP THE NOISE FOLKS like never before. I don't only want to win I want us to BLOW them out like 30-10 NINERS!

Madden's point is that the stadium has a chance to be louder than its been in a long time.
In other words, what the Saints remember from last year, will be eclipsed. They are going to be surprised.

Too bad the acoustics at the Stick are mediocre to poor. The newer stadiums all have superior acoustics in comparison.

Not only does the staduim need to be loud but i say the Ground crew turns on the sprinklers all night all day turn the field to complete mud.. then go back to scripting the 1st 20 plays then kill the headsets on the saints till our script runs out just like the old days.

Actually we get loud, especially for prime time games. The issue is we get loud to late. The stadium catches on to yell and the visiting offense is already at the line... If only the fans knew, WE GOTTA START YELLING AND BE LOUD WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO GET THE PLAY TO THE QB..!!!

I really hope the new stadium takes acoustics into consideration. Candlestick is not built to contain noise.
