The Niners will play the winner of the NFC South (the New Orleans Saints, most likely) on the road. They'll also host the winner of the NFC East (the Dallas Cowboys or the New York Giants). They'll play the entire NFC North division, so they'll get the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings at home, and they'll travel to play the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears. They'll also play the entire AFC East division, so they'll have to fly across the country to play the New England Patriots and the New York Jets. They'll also get the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills at home.

Sounds kinda rough but I trust Harbaugh and Baalke will make this team even better.

We make predictions every year on these things. And it's always pointless. Every year there are 5 or 6 teams that greatly improve and 5 or 6 teams that inexplicably stumble.

2011 success means very little in predicting 2012 performance.

Yep. Exactly this.

Injuries/trades/luck/whims of the football gods...all combine so that the "predicted" strength of schedule at the beginning of the year never comes close to matching the actual sos at the end.

it will definitely be his fault for not spending 100 million dollars on a 20 year contract on a free agent.

doesn't even matter who, just as long as he spends the money on a long contract on somebody, anybody, dead or alive.
