SF the new Blitzburgh? | Page 2 | 49ers Webzone Forum

Not too long ago we all were thrilled to have guys like Julian Peterson, Jaime Winborn, Derek Smith, and Brandon Moore. All of those players were very solid at one point, but the crop of linebackers we have now is beginning to seem unfair to opposing offenses. I think in the next few years our defense is going to be seen as a dominant defense every bit as good as the Steelers and Ravens. This post is more or less a post to give props to the strongest group of players on our team. ...and since we are all so excited to give nicknames, why not a name for our defense. San FranBlitzco...? Lol

Sorry man, slow day at work and can't wait to Sunday

Lol it's cool at least you came up with something. And yea i can't wait either. It's crazy how much I used to look forward to games even when we sucked and now my whole week is a countdown to Sunday.

but it is time to start surprising teams with an occasional blitz. I would love at least 6 sacks this week.

I agree with those that rightly point out that we do not blitz that much.
