Everyone's picking against us. It's getting too annoying. I'm not saying the Giants don't have a chance or that they're not a fine team, because they do and they are. I make it 50-50 myself. But this bandwagoneering of a team that all those "experts" had dismissed a month ago is sickening.

I wonder: doesn't this make Giants fans fear overconfidence? I would.

Also their "winning streak" which was "like being in the playoffs for 4 straight weeks". As if we were dropping games left and right or resting starters. We also won four straight just as they did, including at Seattle (who were certainly less pathetic than Atlanta) and Pittsburgh. The only soft game we had was versus the Rams, and it almost cost us lifting our foot off the pedal in the end.

That's basically the story they give. The same people who last month had the Giants being losers, Coughlin on "the hot seat", Eli an irretrievable interception machine etc etc.

Again, I'm not saying the Giants can't win it. They are a very very good team who are coming to SF on a crest of very good form. They have great players and are reasonably healthy. And they have an excellent coach.

But so did the Saints! Form, talent, reasonable health, coach. Tick, tick, tick tick!

We can do it. If we play we the intensity of last week, we can certainly do it.

I enjoy hearing pundits talk about this game like they know anything about football. It's just going to make this victory that much sweeter knowing everyone tongues are placed firmly on the balls of the losing team and are completely writing off the team that, all year long, has proven to be the superior, tougher and more resilient one. Niners put the Giants on a 4 game losing streak last they played and the pain they experienced after that game is going to be very fresh in their minds as kickoff approaches.

The Giants talk this big talk about how unstoppable they are, but they sound scared, like a dog that barks its head off while it's pissing all over the place in fear. The only ones they are fooling are the East Coast media and themselves, because they are about to be put on another long losing streak by the 49ers, watching the super bowl at home.
