Media and the 49ers

Sooo good that our starting point of improvement is beating the Packs to take #1. While in 2010, our starting point of improvement was getting beat 6-31 by the Seahawks in the opener. We came a long way...

we were so f**king outcoached that game
I really don't care what the media thinks but it's something I have been checking out weekly (during the season) for a decade plus. I'm not like some people and get pissed off or obsessive over it but I like to see where we are at though.

True. We only cared to be #1

Well it sure feels good to be elite! So I'll take it!

I'm sure they'll look like a real playoff contender next week @NE when they get blown out.

I'd probally go

1. SF
2. Baltimore
3. NE
4. Houston
5. Atlanta

Tough choice between us and Baltimore.

If it were not the fact that it was the Packers that the 49ers beat, I'd have to give #1 spot to the Ravens. The other teams beat up on suspect teams (KC also was without some key defensive players). Even if you ignore their defense prowess, the Ravens put on a show of offensive dominance against a very decent defense of last season.

Even when we beat the Patriots ESPN will rank us number 2....and put Baltimore at #1...ESPN...will ALWAYS favor east coast teams...
